Nikon Issues Yet Another Service Note for D750; Says Shutter Shading Issue Affects More Models
It’s 2016 and some Nikon D750 DSLRs are still experiencing problems. Nikon issued yet another service advisory for the semi-pro, full frame DSLR this week, noting that a shutter shading problem that cropped up in July 2015 is now affecting more models.
“In July of 2015, we announced that the shutter in some Nikon D750 digital SLR cameras manufactured in October and November of 2014 may not function normally, sometimes resulting in shading of a portion of images,” Nikon said in its service advisory. “Since that time, we have learned that the same issue may also affect D750 cameras manufactured from December, 2014 through June, 2015.”
This is not the first time or, likely, the last that the beleaguered D750 has run into trouble. The D750 also had image flare problems in early 2015 and Nikon has faced some persistent quality control problems across its full frame DSLR line.
You can read the rest of the advisory below. Nikon also includes a way to check if your D750 might be in the affected group.
