Make an Epic “Landscape Portrait” by Editing and Combining Two Images in Photoshop (VIDEO)
Serge Ramelli is a French landscape photographer who occasionally experiments with portrait composites. In the Photoshop tutorial below he shows you how to shoot and combine two shots to make one epic “Landscape portrait.”
Ramelli was on the grounds of a beautiful abbey in the South of France for this project. In the video he explains how he captured both the portrait and the landscape shot using the “Rule of Thirds,” exposure bracketing and other techniques. Then he walks you through the simple retouching methods he used, before demonstrating how he created the final composite in Photoshop.
You can find more videos from Ramelli on his YouTube channel, and be sure to look at another of his tutorials we shared recently, demonstrating how he turned a boring scene of the Eiffel Tower into a cityscape masterpiece.
