Sony just launched the new A7 III mirrorless camera, which features a full frame, 24.2MP back-illuminated Exmor R CMOS image sensor with what Sony is calling “evolved image processing.” Shutterbug is currently in Las Vegas, NV where Sony officially unveiled the camera at a special press event tied to the WPPI (Wedding and Portrait Photographers International) show.

Sony just announced the Alpha 7C, which the company is calling the world's smallest and lightest full frame camera body. The A7C is similar in design to Sony's compact A6000 series of mirrorless cameras, which use APS-C sensors, but boasts a 24.2MP full frame sensor and shooting features similar to the larger Sony A7 III full frame model.

Sony introduced the compact A5100 mirrorless, interchangeable lens camera this morning, which features the same 24-megapixel APS-C size sensor and same Fast Hybrid Autofocus (AF) system as the slightly higher-end A6000 model.

Sony has released new firmware updates for the A7R, A7R II, A7S, A7, A7 II and A6000 cameras.  For the A7R II, A7II, A7R, and A7S cameras, Update 3.10 includes support for new lenses as well as support for phase-detection AF.

Sony just introduced the long-awaited Sony A7S III mirrorless camera, which is designed for shooting photos and videos in extreme light without a flash. The Sony A7S III is the follow-up to the A7S II from 2015 and features an array of updates designed to improve on that camera, which had been dubbed the "Low-Light King" by some photographers and videographers.
