What Are the Best Photo Accessories for Shooting Landscapes? Watch This Video and Find Out
Landscape shooters tend to be among the most stalwart of photographers, often carrying heavy tripods, and backpacks bulging with cameras, lenses, and other gear, on long treks into the backcountry. In the video below, a British pro reveals what he considers to be “the best accessories for landscape photography.”
Photographer Adam Kappa lives near England’s picturesque Lake District, and he rarely leaves on an excursion without packing everything he might need to make the most of any photo opportunity that arises. We should note that Kappa is not sponsored by manufacturers, so the gear recommendations he provides are unbiased and entirely his own.
Kappa divides his favorite accessories into two categories, those he considers “Essentials," and others he calls “Excuse Killers”—the latter being gear that either simplifies making photographs or protects equipment from bad weather.
As you’ll see in the video, Kappa covers everything from bags, tripods, and waterproof camera covers, to lens filters, spare batteries and a bubble level to mount on a camera’s hot shoe. And he includes the pros and cons of each of the accessories on his list.
