Ride Shotgun with Ansel Adams and Learn How He Made One of His Most Iconic Images (VIDEO)
Last week’s video tour inside Ansel Adams’ studio proved so popular that we decided to give you another treat: The inside scoop on how the master made “Moon and Half Dome”—one of his most iconic images. In this video you’ll take a drive with Ansel on his way make the photo and hear his son Michael describe the details and the darkroom magic used to create the final result.
You’ll also get a look at the original contact sheet Ansel used to develop the image. You may also want to take a look at an earlier video we posted, with Michael describing how his father made his most famous photo, “Moonrise, Hernandez, New Mexico.”
In the video below from the Advancing Your Photography YouTube channel, Ansel casually explains that, “Sometimes making a photograph is a very exciting experience.” Indeed it is!
