This Is the ONE LENS Every Photographer Should Own (VIDEO)

Pierre T. Lambert has a secret that every beginning photographer needs to know. That 18-55mm kit lens that came with your camera? It’s really pretty slow and mediocre and if you want to start taking better photos, you should get a fast, prime lens immediately.

In the below video, Lambert talks about how his photography really started taking off when he bought a 50mm F/1.8 lens and began leaving his tired kit lens behind.

“I want to show you the difference between shooting with a kit lens and shooting with the 50mm F/1.8 lens,” he says. “And just so you know, this (prime) lens is really cheap. You don’t need to buy an expensive prime lens. You just need a really, really cheap but good prime lens to get way better results with your photos.”

Watch the below video where Lambert shoots photos with the 50mm lens (aka the Nifty Fifty) and with the 18-55mm kit so you can see the difference. “I think it’s pretty obvious that one of them is going to win, but by how much? Let’s check together.”
