How About These Stunning Images Captured with the New High-Speed AF-S Nikkor F/1.4E ED Lens?
Nikon created quite a buzz Tuesday morning with the introduction of the high-speed AF-S Nikkor f/1.4E ED; a lens they say is the world’s fastest 105mm prime. And now, thanks to some great photographers and the folks at Nikon USA, we can show you the first sample images taken with this new tool for portrait and studio photography.
Unveiled in celebration of Nikon reaching the 100-million-lens milestone, the AF-S Nikkor f/1.4E ED is being touted for optimum sharpness and color rendition throughout its aperture range. According to the folks at Nikon USA, “Users will love the precise sharpness from this fantastic glass, which provides a flattering compression to subjects with a sensational, sultry bokeh.”
In addition to the images you see here, you can view more on the Nikon USA and Nikon Japan websites. And for all you pixel peepers out there, full-res images are available in all their glory in this Flckr album.
The AF-S Nikkor 105MM f/1.4E ED goes on sale in about a month for a suggested retail price of $2,199.95
