Here Are 10 Full Resolution Photos We Captured with the New Nikon Z6 Mirrorless Camera
Nikon announced its 24.5MP Z6 mirrorless camera back in August 2018 alongside its 45.7MP Z7 but it doesn't go on sale until later this month. Shutterbug got to test out the new Nikon Z6 during a press trip to Orlando, FL this week and we’ve included ten full resolution test photos we captured with the full frame (FX-format) camera with this story.
While our complete review of the Nikon Z6 won’t be ready for a while, these test shots should give you an idea about the camera’s image quality. To open the full resolution photos and inspect the detail, just click on the web-sized images below. (The hands-on product shots of the Z6 are only web-sized.)
The Nikon Z6 ($1995, body only) offers less resolution than the Z7 mirrorless camera (which went on sale in September for $3399, body only), but it’s faster, capable of shooting up to 12 frames per second (fps), while the Z7 can shoot at 9 fps. The Z6’s full frame (FX-format) image sensor also offers a wider sensitivity of ISO 100-51200 for better low light shooting. (The Z7 has an ISO range of 64-25600.)
You can read more about both models and the further difference between each in our camera preview story. You can see full resolution test shots we captured with the Nikon Z7 here and here. Nikon fans will also want to check out our new review of the 125x Nikon P1000 superzoom camera here.
