Fasten Your Seatbelts: These Crazy Aerial 360° Panorama Photos May Just Blow Your Socks Off

We’ve seen some impressive aerial photography through the years, but the recent work by the Russian group AirPano is right up there with the best. The 12-person, not-for-profit team consists of nine photographers and three tech specialists who use planes, helicopters and drones to capture these mind-blowing images.

Founded in 2008, AirPano specializes in high-resolution panorama images that give us a 360° view of notable locations across the globe.

The high-flying team has documented famous cities as well as remote geographic locations like the North Pole, Antarctica, and the Mariana Trench in the Western Pacific Ocean.

What makes AirPano’s images so striking is not just the bird’s-eye view from the stratosphere, but the technical superiority and artistry of their images.

The group has currently documented over 300 of the most interesting locations on our planet, from the Roman Colosseum, a volcano in Borneo and the Great Wall of China, to Mt. Everest, the Taj Mahal and the Swiss Alps.
