Datacolor has announced SpyderCubeT, the first all-in-one RAW calibration device for fast and accurate whitepoint correction as well as bracketed adjustments for highlights and blacks.  For years, photographers have relied on traditional flat gray cards to establish proper white balance in a wide range of shooting environments.  Today, these professionals require new techniques to meet the changing dynamic of photography and new digital workflow processes.  Capturing appropriate information at the time of image exposure will greatly reduce time and effort in the post-production process and ensure true color rendition and image detail.

Most photographers understand why shooting in Raw provides maximum image detail and other key attributes that contribute to ultimate image quality. Another benefit of using this format is that it delivers far more control during the image-editing process.

The Ray Flash 2 is a great on-axis fill light for use with on-camera flash. Quick to attach and easy to adjust, the Ray Flash can be used with TTL flash settings and is significantly moreaffordable than a powered macro ring flash. It provides a large, even distribution of light on small objects. The new adjustable mount attaches quickly and securely to different size speedlights by means of a new spring-loaded clamp design. The center column of the Ray Flash 2 slides up and down to accommodate variations in camera and speedlight heights. Ray Flash 2’s lower profile is thinner than the original, making it even more portable for location photographers.

Seems as we untangle ourselves from the seaweeds, the world is slowly opening back up again for travel. The more freedom we redeem the more that itch to capture the colors and wonders of the Earth will tickle your fingertips.

Tripods come in many sizes, from tabletop models to heavy-duty camera stands designed for studio use. Because of the variety of types, styles, and even colors, there’s rarely a one-size-fits-all tripod for most photographers. And, like eating potato chips, you can’t have just one.
