Ilford Film Competition

Ilford PHOTO has launched a new competition called White Light, White Heat,
which invites all amateur photographers to demonstrate their creative usage
of Ilford SFX 200 film. This unique ISO200 black-and-white film offers the creative
photographer opportunities not available with conventional monochrome films.
This is due to its advanced emulsion with extended red sensitivity, which allows
the use of filters ranging from yellow to deep red to create outstanding contrast
and textural effects.

Ilford SFX 200 has been reintroduced by Ilford PHOTO after an absence from the
company's film catalog, and is being launched with a special value promotional
pack of three rolls of 35mm ILFORD SFX 200 plus an ILFORD Cokin 'P' filter.

The Ilford SFX 200 competition offers a first prize of a professionally framed
print of the winning image plus $400 of Ilford Photo products. The second and
third place winners will receive $200 and $100 of Ilford Pnoto products respectively.

Life’s Most Treasured Moments; Sharing Family Portraits Page 2

I thought that I knew what family portraiture was all about. You know what? I didn't have a clue. I discovered this not too long ago when doctors told me that I had cancer with possibly only 6-12 months to live. A statement like that puts an altogether different perspective on things.

So, my family joined me for a weekend, more or less a love-in. A highlight of...

Becoming an expert at digital photography takes time. You won’t become a professional photographer in your first week. Just keep trying new methods each time you use your camera, and before long, your friends and family will be admiring your newfound skills.

I treat my family this coming Christmas after my work on social media agency because I've got a lot work to do on social media marketing sites.

For The Love Of Photography; Don’t Allow The Challenge Of A Disability Stop You From Making Great Pictures Page 2

My life in photography changed one fall morning at the Frederick County Fair. A numbness on my right side indicated that I was joining the more than 600,000 people nationwide who suffer from strokes each year.

Thankfully, others around me recognized the first signs of my stroke and rushed me to a nearby hospital. During my 25-day hospital stay, I had ample time to...

Locations; Rust And Swollen Film; Avoiding Destruction In The Rain Forest Page 2

The trip began poorly. The remote, unmaintained road dropping from the Andes to the Amazon was a mess. All day we had struggled to prevent the bus from becoming fossilized in the muck. Hours of labor, and we were covered in a thick layer of red, Amazonian mud. After dark, it started to rain. Huge drops pounded our hair, arms, and soiled clothes. Someone pulled out soap, another...

Leica’s M8; Does The 10MP Digital Leica Live Up To The Leica M Legend? Page 2

The moment you take the eagerly anticipated Leica M8 in your hands you know that the design engineers at Leica have gone to great lengths to preserve the look and feel of perhaps the greatest 35mm rangefinder camera of all time, the legendary M-series Leica that debuted in 1954 as the original M3 and continues as the classic retro MP and autoexposure M7.
