I came across this Broad-Winged Hawk this morning who was out hunting. This hawk gave me some really fantastic photo opportunities, this being one of them and my favorite. I used a Nikon D5, Nikkor 300mm lens with (Nikon) 1.7X teleconverter, making the focal length 510mm, ISO 250 (Auto ISO mode), f/6.3 @ 1/2500 sec. Spot metering mode and handheld this composition, processed in Lightroom.
