On the northeast coast of Jekyll Island, Florida lies a "boneyard" of trees that have fallen victim to the shifting shoreline that has encroached on the maritime forest. After finishing shooting in the area at sunrise and after I began the short hike back to my car I saw this shadow pattern on the sand, displaying almost a mirror image of the fallen oak.
