I started visiting Antigua in 1991 and have watched the city and island go from a photographers paradise to a tourist delight. I still visit the same streets and have watched the buildings fall into disrepair. This shot is one such building. Once it was a nondescript business for the locals. Over the years, it was abandoned and has turned to this spot of "rubble"
Time has taken its toll... the clock is so appropriate. In color, it is just another local site. In B&W, it shows the march of time and the damage brought by time. The first photo (b&w negative) I have of this spot showed a derelict car and a huge satellite dish. Time flies.
I shot the image with a Nikon D-600, kit lens(24-80), opened in CS-2, and Nik Silver Effects Pro for the B&W effect. The exposure was lost.
I can only wander if the building will be lost in time when I visit again????
