You are here
Storm clouds began to roll in over the Blue Ridge Parkway as I was at the Pounding Mill Overlook. I was set up to shoot the parkway bending around the mountain, but then out of nowhere these small rainbows started to appear briefly as the sun broke through the clouds here and there. I widen my shot to 18mm and just waited for it to happen again and within two or three minutes it did. You can see a partial rainbow in the middle and three small ones in the lower left stacked on to each other. I waited around a little longer to see if it would happen again, but the storm came on in. This was just one of those moments that you feel so lucky to be their to witness and to be able to capture it is a bonus.
