When I got out shooting landscapes I always look for a good vertical one, sometimes I will spend hours looking for one good vertical shot. Shooting landscapes are not easy and shooting a vertical one is always harder. I loved this scene at Great Falls on the Potomac River, there were two guys Kayaking up and down the rapids, they would go down and then climb there way back to the top of the rapids. I saw them do this once and I said: I am going to wait and capture them going back up the rocks. I had my zoom lens so I could of got pretty close to them, but I really wanted to capture the scale. I really wanted to showcase what these two guys were getting into.
