I captured the rose on the verge of blooming, on a rose bush in my yard. I captured the image with a Nikon D610 and Nikkor 105mm/f2.8 macro lens mounted on a tripod and tripped the shutter with a remote release. I shot in aperture priority mode at ISO 100 and exposed at f/4 for 1/60th of a second.
