Looking South down the Volcanic tableland and Owens Valley clouds began to lift upward as if billowing smoke from a great fire. This was the most dramatic moment of the day as if a final answer to photographer's prayers.
Previously the light had been on the dull side. As I recall it was a cool day and as the sun set it must have been twenty eight degrees F.
