Here in this coffin in the world's largest church, in Sevilla, Spain, are the remains of Cristobal Colon aka Christopher Columbus. After first being buried in Santo Domingo, then Cuba, his remains were then taken to Spain. The issue about this controversial explorer is whether he was in fact an Italian from Genova, as widely believed, or a Spaniard from Catalan area around Barcelona, which is what National Geographic believes as per their story on this issue. The figures holding him up at larger than life as is his persona.
