PMA Show Reports; New Studio Accessories; Props, Backdrops, And More
It’s a competitive world out there, so studios have to differentiate themselves with unique offerings and setups. Having a special line of albums or frames, or simply some stylish methods for their customers to display their precious photographs can help. A different background or method of more rapidly changing the background to suit the next sitting also helps. Here are some items that might just create that edge:

GrowShow is a new firm that evolved from a unique concept. GrowShow is a way to visualize a child’s growth, or any sequence of memorable events, with an automated time-lapse perspective. The online photo service reads the date of image capture of a sequence of images, then builds a time-lapse sequence for modular framing in a row of images. From this they produce the GrowFrame system of solid hardwood frames incorporating powerful magnets. All four edges of a frame can be quickly pulled apart to insert pictures, then the individual frames can be clustered magnetically, touching together in an infinite variety of modular components for display on both desk and wall. The frames are offered in 3x3” or standard 4x6” sizes and are available in natural solid dark walnut, natural alder, and black-stained alder.
Manual Woodworkers & Weavers, Inc. displayed their new Keepsake Christmas Ornaments that can include a personal photo printed on all four sides of the globe, or two photos along with two personal messages. It comes packaged in a gift box. New fluffy fleece washable throws with vibrant color dye sublimation process photos are offered in 50x60” sizes and the easy-care polyester is machine washable. A variety of sizes of woven throws with photos have a fringe; they are 100 percent cotton and machine washable.
