The Wonderful Winners of the “All About Animals” Photo Challenge

Animals are amazing, which is why photographers are always trying to capture them with their cameras. To showcase some of these wonderful wildlife images, Shutterbug once again teamed up with GuruShots for another exciting photo challenge, this time with the theme, “All About Animals.”

The name of the game in wildlife photography is patience, whether you’re trying to capture a herd of elephants in the African savanna, or squirrels in your backyard. Good things come to those who wait, and we couldn’t wait to see how you captured our furry friends!

We certainly weren’t disappointed with the response to this contest. Thousands of entries poured in for the All About Animals challenge, so competition was fierce. After millions of votes were counted, three winners we're picked in the Top Photographer, Top Photo, and Guru's Top pick categories.

We've included those winning images below along with seven runners-up. At the bottom of this post is a slideshow gallery with the rest of the runners up in the All About Animals challenge.
