I was with my older brother in his boat on the Alabama River near Millers Ferry, AL checking on his catfish traps. We spotted this small flock of White Pelicans flying over something in the water. I thought it might be a very large alligator until we got closer and could see it was a large log. Suddenly the pelicans landed on the log. I took three photos of them then before the flew in the air again. This was the best one. The last we saw of the birds they were still flying around the log.
