As I was walking through the Cooper Mountain Regional Park in the Portland, Oregon area, I noticed a spider web in a trance on a fir tree and in it was a leaf from another tree with sunlight shinning through the branches of other trees and illuminating the web and its cradled leaf. Using a Nikon D500 with its kit lens, a Nikkor AF-s 16-80mm, f/2.8-4E ED VR DX lens set to 80mm (120mm), f/7.1, ISO 100, 1/200 sec in monochrome, I used the highlight exposure setting a quickly took the picture before the light changed. I tweeted the photograph in Photoshop Elements to make it a cleaner photograph.
