This image is the result of a workshop I organized in 2014 with stylist Allison Lowery. Allison created some period looks and I created the lighting. For this look, Allison created a wig and found the perfect wardrobe. I lit the scene with a pattern projector on the background and hung a main light from a boom arm with a grid. The icing on the cake was using a soft-focus filter to create an old-school feel. Given that the workshop participants were eager to shoot, I only had about 60 seconds to get this image!
