Capturing this little guy through the branches was exciting! I used manual focus with magnification to lock focus on the flycatcher and avoid the dense branches. This image was taken at Fort Lowell in Tucson, AZ. Urban parks are a great place to photograph birds. While I was initially drawn into birding by the large birds such as raptors and long-legged waders, color song-birds are challenging to shoot and can be found as near as your own backyard.
