Getting There
From the south, head north on I-17 out of Phoenix and take SR 179 into Sedona. From the north there are two main routes south of Flagstaff--I-17 and SR 89--which pass through pine forests for 10 miles before descending into Oak Creek Canyon, a narrow, colorful gorge. Sedona is located at the southern end of the canyon where the cliffs make way for more expansive views.

Weather
Although snowfall is rare in Sedona in November, the weather is cooling down in this high-desert region. The average daytime temperature is a pleasant 65°, with nighttime temperatures around 40°. Prepare for cool evenings and possible rain.

Layer your clothing during the daytime, especially if you're planning on hiking. Don't forget that the sun can still be surprisingly strong at midday.
