I've seen many photographs of this old car located in Bodie, a popular ghost town in the East Sierras. I was pleasantly surprised when I came upon this rig while roaming around looking for interesting things to photograph. The challenge was to capture it in a different way than I've seen. So I sprawled my tripod legs out for the lowest angle I could get and fired off a series of bracketed shots in anticipation of applying some HDR in post processing. Captured with a Canon 5D Mark III and a 16-35 L series Canon lens, steadied very low with a Really Right Stuff tripod. Processed in Photoshop along with NIK plugins, and selectively applied HDR with Photomatix, then converted to B&W using NIK Silver Efex. By Dan Mottaz from Eagle, Idaho.
