This is an iconic Bristlecone tree photographed in the Bristlecone Pine Forest East of Bishop, CA. Despite it being shot in mid-day light, I'm happy with how this image turned out - certainly, the monochrome conversion helped. Captured with a Canon 5D Mark III with a 16-35 L series Canon lens, steadied very low with a Really Right Stuff tripod. By Dan Mottaz from Eagle, Idaho.
