From the top of the DeGrey hill along Highway 34 in South Dakota, I wanted to capture the expanse of the Missouri River from the vantage point that Lewis and Clark saw it as mentioned in their journals. This location is also near to my heart since my grandparent's farm can be seen on the right side by following the power lines down the hill. I spent nearly every weekend of my youth at the "farm' and always loved the view from this location.
I stitched this image together from 12 separate images using my Pentax K-7 and 18-135mm Pentax lens ISO 200 F13 @ 1/250
