This image was taken at a photography workshop that featured rescued birds of prey. I felt very fortunate to have this rare opportunity to photograph a bald eagle in a studio setting, and I was drawn to this close up pose as it seems to capture the eagle in a quiet, introspective moment. I was also struck by how this close up showcases the eagle's powerful beak.
Image captured using the Sony RX10 IV, f/8.0, 1/250, ISO 3200.
The original RAW file for this image was first processed using DxO Prime noise removal. The image was then processed further using Adobe Camera RAW for basic adjustments, followed by a few select color adjustment layers in Photoshop. No touch ups were added to the file (ex spot healing, clone stamping, etc.); however, the final file was cropped to improve the composition.
