I spotted these fledgling barn swallows outside a footbridge at a local park. The parent would return every few minutes with a choice morsel, which it would then carefully deposit into the mouth of the chick. The food exchange took the merest fraction of a second. The positioning of the chicks determined which one got fed most often, and which one got little or nothing. I photographed this image with a Canon EOS 7D, Canon EF 300mm f2.8L, f/2.8, 1/2500 second, 1600 ISO.
