I was photographing some egrets when a mother mallard and her brood came wandering by on their way to the pond. For these ducklings, the boulders looked more like small hills. Here we have one duckling pondering its next step, and a kindly sibling who appears to offer an encouraging prod. I photographed this image with a Canon EOS 5D Mark III, Canon EF 500mm f4L, Canon 1.4x extender, f/6.3, 1/2000 second, 640 ISO.
