This image was shot at the Buffalo, NY zoo. I really enjoy photographing the gorillas at the zoo because they show so much emotion and character in their faces. The gorilla was actually lying on his back relaxing and watching the people watch him. I shot this image through the protective glass. I rotated the image 90 degrees in Photoshop. The monochrome conversion was done in OnOne software with final processing in Photoshop. It was shot with a Nikon D800 and a Sigma 150-600 lens at ISO 6400, 1/250 sec at f/14 with -2 stops exposure compensation.
