Want a challenge? Try photographing a butterfly!
The St Louis Zoo has a butterfly exhibit and I usually challenge myself to take pictures of the inhabitants! A shallow depth of field or "bokeh" is a very important element in my pictures of butterflies...I want to isolate the subject in a very colorful and often bright area.
This image has not been cropped or adjusted... if you look closely...you can see the yellow pollen on the lower legs of the butterfly!
