I had been shooting for about an hour this night in the Hualapai Valley of northwest Arizona. The light had completely faded off the surrounding mountains and foreground area, and most of the clouds in the sky had broken up. Out of nowhere, one cloud in the sky lit up like a fireball in the sky. I quickly recomposed my shot in a vertical format, and clicked the shutter. The light faded shortly thereafter.
