This shot is from Fort De Soto park, St. Petersburg, Fl. Typically we see Reddish Egrets fishing in shallow ponds, but this bird (in breeding plumage) was fishing in the surf. I caught this action shot as he caught a small catfish and flew to shore to eat it.
