If I could paint, the picture might look something like this. The original photo was taken in mid-March along a creek that winds through the Arboretum of the University of California, Davis. At that time, the Western Redbuds were in bloom, adding a nice color contrast to the scene. A Nikon D7000 with a Nikkor 16-85 mm VR lens at 68 mm was used. The exposure was f/8 and 1/320 sec. Plugins from Topaz and Alien Skin helped to produce the final version.
