Back again with some July 4th 2017 action! It was an uncertain evening due to the obvious weather situation and I love photography so much that I have all the tools I need to pull off a great composition. Saying that, the mobile phone weather radar indicated this thunderstorm was leaving the scene as fast as it arrived. What is crazy is that it was a very small storm and got extremely electrical about 5 to 10 miles offshore and moving right along.
The beach emptied of people, so I just set up the mini tripod and waited about 10 - 20 minutes after scheduled light off time. Sure enough they fired them off and I couldn't have been more photographically excited here in Venice, Florida on the beach!
I used the ILCE-6000 mirrorless
f/5.6
10 second exposure (so much lightning)
ISO - 100
Focal length 30mm
