On the northeast coast of Jekyll Island, Florida lies a "boneyard" of trees that have fallen victim to the shifting shoreline that has encroached on the maritime forest. After finishing shooting in the area at sunrise and after I began the short hike back to my car I saw this shadow pattern on the sand, displaying almost a mirror image of the fallen oak. Details: Sony A900, Sony 24-70mm at 24mm, f22, 1/250, ISO 200.
