While sitting at the bottom of a hillside at the edge of a stream, just outside of Port Armstrong in southeast Alaska, this Brown Bear sheepishly approached me. Sitting upwind (quite intentionally), the bear knew I was there, yet seemed for the most part unimpressed. It casually fed on the Silver and Pink Salmon strewn across the rocky shore, occasionally giving me a glance to be sure that I hadn't moved. To describe it as a life altering experience, would be an understatement to the power of that moment in my life!
