Humpback Whales are intensely interesting creatures. They're more talkative than any other whale on earth, can cooperatively feed, and perform many kinds of acrobatic stunts that still boggle scientists to this day.

I made this photograph one dark morning as this Humpback Whale repeatedly rocketed out of the water and landing grandly with a massive splash! I made this image with a Canon 6D Mark ii and Canon 100-400mm IS ii lens.
