It was toward the end of the day and the sun was low in the sky when I spotted the halo that the sun produced around this beautiful Great Blue Heron. He though he was well hidden by the marsh grasses an so stayed there while I shot. He finally noticed that I was giving him a lot of attention and flew away, Camera settings were, continuous focus and shutter, 1/1250 sec., f/8, and 650mm focal length, ISO 400. Equipment included Nikon D750, Nikkor 200-500mm f/5.6 lens.
