My wife and I traveled 2.5 hours to Idaho Falls, Idaho to get shots of the Sun's total eclipse in August 2017. It took us over 7 hours to get back home because of the heavy traffic (not fun). We got photos from start to finish of the eclipse. This shot was taken at 54 seconds after totality. The short exposure enables sun flares, the chromosphere, and Bailey's Beads to be seen without being blown out by the corona. Nikon D750 camera, Nikkor 200-500mm f/5.6 lens, Nikkor 1.4X teleconverter, Induro Stealth CLT403 tripod, Wimberly Gimbal Head. Settings; 1/2000 sec. @ f/11, ISO 100, 700mm focal length
