My wife and I were driving along the Blue Ridge Parkway, we were looking for a spot to set up for a sunset. After grabbing a sunset shot we started to Mt. Pisgah. My wife noticed the purple rain and we stopped by the Mt. Pisgah sign right before the inn. The rain was in the valley between us and the sunset. As the rain feel in front of the pink hues from the sunset it put of a purple hue, so we got to witness actual "Purple Rain".
