I photographed an event at the Hensley Settlement in the Cumberland Gap National Historical Park for the NPS recently. The one job this woman had was to sit in a chair by the window and read her Bible as guest came up to the window to observe her (The public was not allowed in the cabin). This woman stayed in character and patiently read by the window for about 5 hours. Dedicated volunteers are why many National Parks are able to do some events like this one at the Cumberland Gap.
