You can "see" the motion. And nearly smell the cinders (though I doubt its running on coal).

The approaching locomotive was photographed by Irwin H. Segel using a Nikon D7000 with a 70–300 mm Nikkor VR lens at 300 mm. Exposure was f/8 and 1/1000 sec (ISO 400). The photo was taken from a position on the tracks (at a safe distance) during an early morning train run. To simulate a night scene, the image was processed using Nik Color Efex Pro (Dark Contrasts preset) and OnOne Perfect Effects (Dark Glow preset). The dark (but still in color) image was converted to Black and White using Nik Silver Efex Pro (High Structure preset). A photo of a black locomotive emitting white steam and black smoke was a natural subject for a monochrome treatment.
