During a walk through Aswan, a much less congested, hectic city then Cairo, this local man, who spoke no English, made for a brilliant subject. He loved the camera while he enjoyed his shisha with friends outside an ahwa (Egyptian coffee house traditionally just for men). We spoke, although in two different languages and I am thankful he was so lovely and so keen to have his photo taken, even when I didn't accept his gesture to join in with a shisha.
