We like to keep things simple after hectic holiday weekends; so today we’re bringing you three quick “five tips“ tutorials that will improve your photography without a huge learning curve. In this first video, you’ll pick up one pro’s five favorite camera hacks in just two minutes.

Things were tough during the Stone Age. No camera bags; no photo backpacks, either. Some citizens were so starved for visual stimulation that they resorted to painting stick figures on the walls inside their caves. Others just bided their time, waiting to evolve.

Sometimes you have to wonder who came up with the terminology used to describe how cameras work and the way we make pictures. In this humorous video, photographers Tony and Chelsea Northrup reveal what they think are among the dumbest terms in photography.

Here’s a blast from the past: A new video from the LGR YouTube channel with the unboxing and “testing” of a 1995 Epson PhotoPC 0.3-megapixel dinosaur recently found at a thrift shop. The PhotoPC was not only Epson’s first foray into the digital camera business, but it was also the first-ever color digital camera on the consumer market for less than $500.

Before you get any crazy ideas about cracking open an expensive camera yourself, we should note that photographer Peter McKinnon says, “This was a REALLY” bad idea. After watching the video below, you’ll understand why.

Zorki Wins TIPA Award; White House Denies Russian Collusion
Members of the Technical Image Press Association (TIPA) today announced that the Moscow Zorki TTL, a newcomer on the digital camera scene, has won the 2018 award for overall best product. Second place in the voting is the Zenit A, manufactured by the same company which is located in the foothills of Mount Narodnaya in the Ural Mountains. Although some competitive camera makers allege possible vote tampering, the White House has issued a strong statement labeling the accusations a ‘witch hunt’ and fully denying the insinuation of Russian collusion.
