Olympus unveiled its latest, high-end mirrorless camera this morning: the tough, small and powerful OM-D E-M5 Mark II. The E-M5 II uses a Micro Four Thirds sensor similar to the one in the previous model – it once again offers 16 megapixels of resolution – but Olympus says the Live-MOS chip has been redesigned.

Rogue Photographic Design has updated their XL Pro Lighting Kit, adding new attachments and various improvements that include: a new Strip Grid, lighter weight materials, quicker attachment and a travel bag. This lighting system includes the XL Pro Reflector with two quick change attachments that allow users to create a softbox or a strip grid.

The World Photography Organisation launched a new award dedicated to mobile photography at the 2015 Sony World Photography Awards.

DNP has launched a smaller, lighter, and faster flagship DS620A dye-sublimation photo printer for event photographers. The latest addition to DNP’s line of DS Series printers, the DS620A is a compact, pro-grade photo printer and can produce up to 400 prints per hour. Built with an improved thermal print head, the DS620A will also come backed by a three-year Advanced Exchange Warranty from DNP IAM (at the time of purchase).

Kodak Alaris recently announced the winners of the annual KODAK Gallery Elite Award, which honors photographers who are members of Professional Photographers of America (PPA) that have used KODAK PROFESSIONAL Photographic Paper to perfect their art. This is the the 29th anniversary of the award, a culmination of annual state and district awards held throughout the US in conjunction with the PPA print competitions. Kodak Alaris will showcase the four winning images in its booth (#726) at Imaging USA (I-USA)—the annual PPA conference and trade show, Feb. 1-3, 2015.

As its centerpiece, RØDE launched the RØDELink Digital Wireless System—a fully-digital wireless audio system that utilizes a next-generation 2.4GHz, 128-bit encrypted digital transmission sent on two channels simultaneously, providing a high-resolution 24-bit/44.1k digital audio signal at a range of over 100 yards.
