Olympus just unveiled the compact new Olympus OM-D E-M5 Mark III mirrorless camera, which the company says borrows much of its imaging technology from the professional level E-M1 Mark II, one of our favorite cameras of 2017.

Kenko Tokina just announced the new Tokina ATX-i 11-16mm F2.8 CF super wide-angle zoom lens for crop-sensor DSLR cameras from Nikon and Canon. According to Kenko Tokina, this new lens is designed for photographers who specialize in landscape, architecture, documentary, environmental portraits, and night sky imagery.

Los Angeles-based boudoir photographer Michael Sasser recently started shooting with a Fujifilm GFX 50R, a 51.4MP medium format camera in a compact, rangefinder-style body. This is unusual for Sasser since he typically shoots with Sony full frame mirrorless cameras.

This photo showing a Tibetan fox about to attack a frightened marmot in China's Qilian Mountains just won the top prize in the Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition. The image was shot by Bao Yongqing, who is the director and chief ecological photographer of the Qilian Mountain Nature Conservation Association of China.

I shoot most of my photos using the LCD screen on the back of my cameras rather than looking through the eyepiece viewfinder. I prefer the LCD screen for several reasons and I think other photographers should seriously consider how the rear monitor can actually make photography easier and your images better.
